Sectional Door Diagram
These are comprised of a number of horizontal rigid panels or sections that are hinged and fitted together to form the door. Counter-balanced with springs and guided by tracks they move vertically up through the door opening and then horizontally inside along the ceiling. These doors can be made of wood, steel and other materials – each offering a range of colours, styles and textures allowing them to be matched to the style of the house.

Roller Door Diagram
These comprise of a corrugated steel curtain that is guided by tracks and tensioned with springs that move vertically up through the door opening to be rolled up around a cylindrical drum. Roller Doors typically require more headroom above the door opening than Panel/Sectional Doors but when fully opened do not take up as much space inside along the ceiling.

Tilt Door Diagram
These comprise of a rigid full-size panel that tilts as it opens. Tensioned with springs and mounted on pivot arms at each side, tilt doors move outward from the opening as they move up from the vertical position to a horizontal position. They typically require the least amount of headroom above the door opening and can be made from a wide of materials but the area immediately in front of the door must be clear of obstacles when opening and closing the door.
